Abstract

Analytical methods may be used to estimate fluid-flow quantities in a given rock mass, provided the rock mass contains a simple fracture network formed with a small number of joints. Typically, there are two approaches based on analytical techniques: For a given hydraulic conductivity relationship, the flow is estimated; The hydraulic head at each intersection point of the given fracture network is first estimated, and then the flow is quantified.
