Newest innovations into soil and asphalt compaction technology

During the last few years a very fast development could be noticed in the area of soil and asphalt compaction technology. This is decisively characterized by increasing construction performance, the higher emphasis on economical aspects and the higher demands for quality assurance in earthworks and traffic area construction. This paper reports about newest innovations in soil and asphalt compaction technology which includes VARIOMATIC tandem rollers and VARIOCONTROL single drum rollers with adjustable vibration, improved heavy padfoot rollers and further development on roller integrated compaction control and documentation systems.
