General strategy of studies
Abstract
In previous chapters, the most important techniques developed for the investigation of leakage from lakes and reservoirs have been described. Obviously, not all these techniques are applicable in all cases nor do all of them provide valuable results in a general way. Therefore, for each particular case, the most appropriate techniques must be selected for the investigation. For this reason, the correct planning of the strategy to be adopted is very important for the success of the investigation. Many examples are known where a concrete technique leads to the solution of the problem, and sometimes, this key technique is the less expected one.
