A study on microstructures of homogenization for topology optimization
Abstract
The homogenization method is one of the most effective techniques for solving topology optimization problems. In the homogenization method a structure is represented by a microstructure which has an infinite number of infinitely small holes. The purpose of this study is to investigate and compare various types of microstructures that can be used in the homogenization for structural topology optimization problems.
