Implementing integrated systems: Can we use theories of change?
Abstract
In this paper the possibility is explored of using theories of change management for application in the implementation phase of new products within operational processes. We will show that the implementation phase can be seen as interventions within the operational chain and that these interventions fit with the theories of change. Successful implementation interventions need to be tuned towards the receiver. The interventionist must be aware of the fact that there is a range of choices among different intervention strategies in order to tune their intervention efforts better and more effective towards the receiver. We have no reason to think that this is different for the implementation of integrated systems.
