Constraint management system in concurrent engineering
Abstract
It is an important requirement of Concurrent Engineering (CE) to manage constraints effectively and comprehensively in CE product development process. The important role of constraints in the product development process is analyzed, the fundamental theory and functions of constraint management are introduced. The constraint representation and constraint algorithm are studied in this paper. The implementation and application of constraint management system in the product development are also presented.
