Data flows distribution in concurrent engineering
Abstract
In this paper, we show that a data flows distribution in Concurrent Engineering is analogous to a telecommunication networks traffic optimization. The telecommunication networks traffic optimization task can be solved by means a fuzzy genetic algorithm. Now, none of the modern software can solve the data flows distribution task. This paper shows that we can construct a information space for concurrent engineering using a fuzzy genetic algorithm adaptation. The genetic algorithms are heuristics and thus they do not ensure an optimal solution. We propose to use a fuzzy controller for genetic algorithm improvement. In case a data flows distribution, the fitting model for GA is a fuzzy rule based system. The aim of this paper is to develop a new architecture of such integrated system based on principles of soft computing. Principle of uncertainty by L. Zadeh provides us with the sequence of analysis steps. According to this principle, the precision and the meaning start to conflict from some moment of analysis. The architecture of the Soft Expert System is presented which has been developed on the basis of this principle. We call such intelligent system as the Soft Expert System. It has been suggested that the architecture be used in the area of data flows distribution in CE.
