Abstract

This paper presents a novel approach for the development of ontology frameworks based on latest product data technology achievements in the AEC/FM industry, especially regarding IAI/IFC modelling environments. It focuses on the suggested general methodology and the specific engineering ontology realised in the EU ISTforCE project (IST-1999-11508).
