A performance-based approach for product selection from e-catalogues
Abstract
A performance-based approach for selecting building products from an e-Catalogue is described. In this approach, product selection is facilitated by conducting predefined (virtual) experiments in which products from an e-Catalogue can be ‘tested’ to determine their performance in a design context. Performance indicators are used to compare the performance of various product selections. A systems approach is used for identifying performance requirements for evaluating the performance of building products in a design context.
