Knowledge based checking of building designs, based on digital regulations
Abstract
As a starting point, this paper presents the Code Checking Services, an online tool developed by the CSTB in the context of the ISTforCE project, and aimed at providing an automated assistant to people involved in code regulation application to building design. In a second part, it exposes some ideas related to the early design steps of construction projects and the corresponding support tools, resulting from our analysis of the results of the CCS project.
