Scour hole geometry for Fort Peck spillway
Abstract
A procedure was developed to predict depth and extent of plunge pool scour downstream from Fort Peck Dam. The method used a standard maximum-depth equation calibrated with low-flow prototype measurements and high-flow model tests conducted in 1935 to predict scour for flows ranging up to the probable maximum flood.
