Abstract

Many artefacts were found in each of the six houses that were excavated in the city of New Halos. In this chapter the main categories of artefacts – pottery, figurines, loomweights, metal objects and coins – are presented and discussed. In a separate publication attention will be paid to a small number of artefacts that have not been included in this volume, for instance a stone vessel with an iron and silver snake that was found in the House of the Snakes, millstones and other stone objects. A selection of the artefacts from the six houses is on permanent exhibition in the Archaeological Museum of Almirós.
