Modeling and analysis of mechanical problems by hemi-variational inequalities
Abstract
The paper presents results on the mathematical modeling of non-convex and non-smooth problems arising in mechanics and engineering. The approach to such problems is based on the notion of hemi-variational inequality. First we present the methods for elliptic hemi-variational inequalities. Then a new result on well posedness of a dynamic viscoelastic problem is delivered.
