Abstract

Certain fabrics are widely used in many kinds of buildings as construction materials. The evaluation of interior thermal and humidity environment for this kind of building is different from ordinary building. This project developed mathematical models for an exhibition hall constructed by fabrics and used software of TRNSYS to solve the models to obtain the solar radiant and transferred heat through wall, roof and floor with different transparences. We also analyzed the indoor humidity content when moisture-absorbing film was added to roof of the hall. Our research shows that for the fabric used in double layer, the surface of wall and roof is not too large, the heat resistance of floor is high enough, the heating and cooling energy is acceptable. The efficient of moisture-absorbing film is limited and ventilation is needed, especially in the case of high occupation density, which is often the case for exhibition building. The calculated results were compared with experimental results and good coincidence was showed.
