Double skin composite panels subject to static and impact loads
Abstract
Double skin composite construction comprises two steel skins connected through a concrete core with steel bar connectors. Previous research has been dominated by static tests on beams, columns and beam columns, despite the fact that the end use of the system is more likely to involve two way spanning panels subject to out-of-plane static and dynamic loads.
Fields of Study & Subjects
Structural Load-Bearing Analysis
Structural Response to Dynamic Loads
Structural Behavior of Reinforced Concrete
