Abstract

Between 1996 and 1997, a hydrological investigation was accomplished in the “Schneckenstein” study site. Water samples were taken at several sampling points. The water temperature, pH-value, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen content, redox potential together with the acid-base capacity were measured in the field, whereas the content of the main ions as well as the DOC and the heavy metals were measured in the laboratory.
