ASHMR-based maintenance of inter-connectivity in multi-representations
Abstract
As the issues of conceptual and representational differences will arise among multirepresentations, maintaining inter-connectivity among multi-representations in building a multi-scale data model exists as a foundational task. The existing methods to ensure that the states of representations can be linked by bi-directional inter-level connectivity are still not satisfactory in implementation. This paper presents aggregation-based semantic hierarchical matching rules (ASHMR) as the basis of tackling inter-connectivity among multi-representations. It takes the multiple representations from road intersections in road networks as an example. A speciality is given for describing in detail the strategies for maintaining inter-connectivity among representations. This is considered a feasible approach in dealing with inter-connectivity.
