While the two procedures for analysis which have been described by the author are capable of handling complex problems in which there·can be many regions having different material properties, they appear to suffer from some disadvantages:- The theory is far from simple and the special programming required could only be done by specialised personnel. The methods provide no guidance regarding selection of suitable locations for the measurement points.
