A simplified strain-time relation for soils subjected to repeated loads
Abstract
It is widely recognized that the behavior of soils subjected to earthquake and other dynamic loads differs from the one subjected to ordinary static loads. ‘So far, there have been a large number of studies regarding dynamic properties of compacted soils for the purpose of the design of a pavement under repeated wheel loads and the prediction of liquefaction in saturated loose sand deposits at earthquake and vice versa, mainly by using the triaxial and simple shear equipments.
