Some principles of construction of geophysical measuring systems for rock pressure in a blocky medium
Abstract
A rock mass condition control system should be based upon the amount of knowledge of structure and behaviour of the object. All existing control systems operate under the ‘black box’ principle, i,e. they collect, accumulate and process statistically the magnito-electric, acoustic and other information, evaluating it via empirical criteria involving the long-term strength theory (Zhurkov et al, (1980)), Such an approach, called by us a statistical one, does not take into account peculiarities of the object structure and it is suitable, in our opinion, for evaluating the stability of the pillar type units,
