Rock aggregate suitability - A simple approach to creating classification schemes
Abstract
A simple approach to creating a site specific classification scheme using the information procured from a site investigation to assess the suitability of rock for use as aggregate is presented. The application of the approach is illustrated with a scheme developed for a quarry extracting Carboniferous basalt. Une approche simple à l&s;établissement d&s;une classification géotechnique pour évaluer l&s;aptitude de roche pour granulat est presentée. L&s;application de l&s;approche est illustrée avec une classification qui était dévelopée pour une carrière en basalte carbonifère.
