Abstract
It has been established that the compressive strength of loess-cement undergoes four stages in a period of two years of hardening. Experimental data from x-ray diffraction, thermal, SEM, mercury porosimetry and complex chemical analyses prove that the stage character is due to changes in microstructure, composition and morphology of the new binding phases.
