Abstract

The suitability of lead mine tailings for use as all - purpose mineral aggregate was proved. The general behaviour of mortars and concretes with sandstone - dolostone aggregate (containing approximately 3% of zinc and lead compounds with total sulphur content sometimes greater than 1%) was studied. Special attention was paid to the influence of non - carbonate admixtures in the aggregate on the setting time of cement concretes.
