Abstract

The huge caverns in Kushikino base are being constructed in autobrecciated parts of lava flows along the margin of submarine volcanoes. Although this pyroclastics are composed of various kinds of volcanic fragments, patient studies succeeded in finding out the most suitable places for construction. The following excavation insured the results of previous survey and is revealing interesting inside-structure of the Miocene submarine eruption.
