The causes of morphological changes at the water edges of Orava-Reservoir in Slovakia

The article deals with the evaluation of morphological shore changes of water reservoirs on the example of the Orava Dam. Considering the 30-year research of shore deformations, it was possible not only to judged objectively causes of these changes but also to suggest and to apply the methods of prognosis of shore deformations, that were proved by long repeated measurements Dans cet article le réservoir d’Orava est pris pour modèle d’évaluation des variations morphologiques des rives de réservoirs artificiels* Suivant la prospection - durant plus que 30 années - des déformations de rives il était possible non seulement d évaluer avec objectivité maximale les causes de ces variations mais en même temps de proposer et appliquer une méthode prognostique de déformations des rives, vérifiées par des mesures répétées.
