Zukunftsweisende Entwicklungen Von Vollschnittmaschinen Aufgrund Von Erfahrungen Bei Einsätzen Im Bergbau
Abstract
SUMMARY Since full-section tunnelling machines were first brought into use in coal mining their further technical development has been considerable. By means of alterations to the form of the drill point, the repositioning of the disk’s chisels, the shortening of the machine in the area of the drill point and the development of new forms of lining arrangements it has been possible to achieve the most important objective, namely the accomplishment of a Consistanty high tunnel driving performance during a working day in rocks of widely differing strength and stability as well as while driving through geological faults. This is of particular value, when it is taken into account that in coal mining permanent lining immediately in the vicinity of the machine is absolutely necessary and required by the authorities, mesh lagging and steel ring lining with a small ring spacing, usually of 75 cm, being used to secure the rock areas and ensure safety of the personnel at the working face.
