Abstract
I would like to ask Dr Webb whether he was able to delineate any change in the failure mechanism between very short sockets and long sockets. In other words was he going from a debonding failure in the case of short sockets and hence a low strength, to a cone pull out type failure in the longer sockets? Is this perhaps the reason for the increase in apparent tensile resistance?
