Abstract

If the physical condition of a soil is to be determined, investigations usually begin with parameters characterising the structural state. The term “state” in this context means properties, which (1) seem to be static in the sense that they do not change rapidly with time, and which (2) do not describe processes nor do they influence processes directly.
