Survey of Palynologically Analysed Deep-Sea Cores in the Northeast Atlantic off Northwest Africa
Abstract
Pollen analysis of deep-sea cores from the northeast Atlantic has experienced a fast development during the last decade. In the study of deep-sea sediments on a global scale, however, pollen studies play a very modest part. Recent results in marine palynology argue for a better use of pollen as an informationcarrier in deep-sea research.
