Orebody modelling - A case study for a polymetallic tabular deposit
Abstract
The use of computer-assisted orebody modelling techniques to assist with the definition and reserves calculation of an essentially “two-dimensional” underground ore-body is described. The different stages of the modelling process are considered, including input of diamond drilling data, definition of ore intersections, statistical analysis, orebody contouring, block model development, two-dimensional block kriging, estimation of block and global ore reserves, and the development of grade-tonnage curves.
