A new approach to determine the transportation system in underground mines
Abstract
Transportation system of underground mines is of importance in the planning and operations. The traditional method to determine the transportation system is based on the multi-al ternative comparison with timeconsuming manual calculation, which might igrore the optimal solution. This paper presents a new approach––– the minimum-cost flow algorithm to identify the optimal transportation system. By means of operations research and computer techniques, the new method has been successfully used in QIANDOGSHAN lead-zinc mine of China.
