Abstract

Heat transferred Fran rock irrte mine excavations is considered. The complete system of equations is derived and used to predict air temperature increase and moisture evaporation change along typical mine excavations such as airway, raise, shaft and longwall stope» Measurements taken in bone-dry haulage are used to evaluate the applied formulae» In addition, different values for the wetness factor. are used for estima ting the amount of heat flow from wet «surfaces. All computations are dene in spreadsheet form for Lotus 1-2-3 version 2..Ü1.
