Digital Simulation of blast fumes, dust and diesel exhausts in sublevel caving
Abstract
In order to be able to monitor and control the contamination fron blast fumes, diesel exhausts and dust, etc, it is necessary to know the releasing rates of pollutants, ventilation time, required air quantity, and geometric conditions of the drifts in different cases in networks, especially in sublevel caving. Based on the mathematical equation of diffusion mechanics and combined with network analysis theory, a computer program which can be used to simulate the concentration distribution of the pollutants in the working place was developed by MSc Wu Chao. The program is written in FORTRAN 77 and can be run on a PC-computer. According to the results of field measurement, the digital simulation is basically coincident with the field data.
