Abstract

Stress analyses of safety relevant piping systems are generally performed with member programs based on the elementary theory of bending and providing mostly internal forces and displacements, resp. rotations. The results of such kind of stress analyses directly depend on the accuracy of the different boundary conditions stiffness of anchor points - hangers - snubbers gaps, friction effects geometrical differences, etc.
