Abstract

State of the art fracture mechanics testing is currently concerned with two main work areas, namely stable crack growth and the enhanced toughness that is apparently induced by this phenomena, and the growth rate and change in aspect ratio of cracks as they grow by fatigue. These topics are obviously of interest, however in the safety field they are also of great importance.

Fields of Study & Subjects

Fatigue and fracture mechanics Mechanical Behavior of Composites Hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion behaviors in metals
