Ductile fracture analysis by means of a local approach
Abstract
The development of a method based on “local approach of fracture” and continuum damage mechanics was undertaken a few years ago. The objective is the complete numerical analysis of industrial problems, particularly if complex events are involved (non-proportional and thermal loadings, history effects, 3D-problems, etc.) which may imply some doubts on the validity of J-integral methods.
