The major results of the PISCII Round Robin test
Abstract
Non Destructive Testing (NDT) forms part of the in-service inspection (ISI) of a reactor pressure vessel (RPV) and its associated pressure circuit, and the results of the NDT are used in conjunction with fracture mechanics or as part of a code-defined treatment to assess the significance of flaws. Detection, location and sizing of crack like defects play an important role in helping to establish the integrity of this reactor steel structures.
