Abstract

During the last some years, a considerable amount of work has been realised to demonstrate the Leak-Before-Break (LBB) concept on different types of reactors. Quite often, the methods used are simple ones based on the computation of the limit-moment of the cracked section and its comparison with the simulated applied load as high as that which allows to take into account the tearing resistance of the material.
