Approach to LMFBR Floor Response Spectrum reduction Seismic response analysis for Nuclear Island Building (NIB) with integrated containment system
Abstract
The reduction of seismic loads for the nuclear components of Pool type LMFBR is one of the approaches for the economical power plant. The effects of Nuclear Islands Building (NIB) configuration and the analytical method on the Floor Response Spectrum (FRS) were studied. Three groups participated in the collaborations, and the NIB with flat or stepped basemat and the soil stiffness were investigated.
