Abstract

The principles and applications of scale models concerning the interaction between structures and foundations loaded by flowing water are discussed. In the scale models the elasticity of the structure and the soil properties are represented by hydraulic jacks. The dynamic load transferred from the construction into the soil can LDBOXSTART be measured.
