Design problems of shaft lining and freezing wall in deep shaft sinking by the freezing process
Abstract
In recent years, with the increase of coal mining construction and adoption of artificial ground freezing technique for construction, the artificial freezing of ground to deep levels has been increasingly applied, in which case the design of a deep shaft lining is an important problem. In this paper the features of deep shaft linings subject to non-uniform freezing pressure are described. Two methods for determination of stress components and back analysis for the freezing wall are discussed.
