Abstract

A model of fracture which grow irregular serrated cracks with branching is investigated. This model involves a sequence of bars breaking in a frame. Two types of stochastic network are examined: the Delaunay (or Voronoi) triangulation and the corresponding tesselation. Results using these networks are compared to results using regular networks with both uniform and randomly distributed properties.
