An adapted constitutive model for soft porous rocks (chalk)
Abstract
The elastoplastic model described in this paper is adapted from that proposed by LADE for cohesionless soils. New strain hardening laws and some simplifications are proposed according to experimental observations on a porous chalk. Formulation of the model is presented with particular attention to determination of material constants. The first applications of the model for some homogeneous loading tests are finally presented.
