Simple monitorings of rock behaviour for safe underground mining
Abstract
DEDICATION FROM THE FIRST AUTHOR: I should like to express my appreciation to Prof. Charles Fairhurst, whose infectious enthusiasm for rock mechanics has inspired me with respect and to my work there. Besides, he has opened the way for me to work in geotechnological field in Japan. This paper is a kind of canned food I grew and I would like to dedicate it to him although I am afraid the contents be unpalatable for him.
