A review of landslide processes on the territory of the Soviet Union
Abstract
The article briefly reviews some problems associated with the landslide phenomena on the territory of the USSR. It deals with the landslide events in various regions of the Soviet Union; examples of some large-scale soil shifts and their causes are given, and organizational schemes for landslide observation and fighting are shown, A good deal of the information contained in the article is taken from the literature referenced below.
