Abstract

Using basic maps depicting relief, physiography, drainage, rainfall, geology, roads, seismicity and earthquakes an interpretative landslide vulnerability map was prepared. Areas of higher risk are related to tectonic sutures of divergent (Red Sea), convergent (Zagros) and transform fault (Gulf of Aqaba - Dead Sea) types.
