Abstract

The production of high-quality injection molded components continues to pose challenges for manufacturers, as defect rates remain notably high. In an increasingly competitive global market, maintaining rigorous quality standards is crucial for ensuring product reliability and sustaining a company’s market position. The quality of the injection molded parts comes from the selection of the raw material, maintaining the standard temperature and flow rate. In this paper DMAIC approach is used to reduce the defects by using statistical control tools. In the defined phase SIPOC and project charter are used and in measure phase Pareto chart, process capability and variable chart are used to measure the process. In the analyzing phase regression analysis and cause and effect diagram are used. In the improved and control phase FMEA is used to solve the problems that are identified. software is used for statistical testing to do the various quality tests and improve the quality of injection molding.
