Abstract

One of the biggest challenges for cloud computing is resource management and minimizing SLA breaches in the delivery of cloud services. This work proposes an automated framework that is enhanced by hybrid cuckoo search algorithms for dynamic resource management, SLA violation penalties and negotiation mechanisms. The framework puts more focus on energy efficiency since it uses factors such as cost, resource utilization and energy to rate the CSPs. The proposed model improves the level of compliance to SLA, and optimizes resources, that meet different users’ needs and reduce negative effects on the environment. The experimental findings confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach in terms of decreasing violations, optimizing energy consumption, and minimizing operational costs, which makes it possible to consider the approach safe and efficient for managing cloud services.
