Abstract

RNA is a crucial component of all living organisms, playing a key role in protein synthesis and gene regulation. Computational tools have become essential in the study of RNA, aiding in the analysis of RNA sequences, structures, and interactions. These tools provide valuable insights into RNA biology and have revolutionized the field of molecular biology. By using computational tools, researchers can predict RNA secondary structures, identify potential RNA-binding proteins, and analyze RNA expression patterns. Computational analytical techniques like predicting RNA folding and structure, RNA sequence alignment, RNA interaction analysis, and RNA function prediction as greatly accelerated the pace of research in understanding RNA biology and its role in various diseases. This chapter provides an overview of RNA computational tools that can assist researchers in comprehending the intricacies of RNA molecules and devising strategies to modify and employ them for diverse objectives, such as devising and evaluating RNA–protein interactions or RNA-based treatments.
