DICOM Viewing Systems and Display Equipment
Abstract
This chapter explains the three parts that create CT images – data acquisition, data processing, and image presentation. It begins by discussing “image presentation”, which summarizes a number of hardware and software features and elaborates on how to choose an appropriate workstation, as well as the hardware and software needed. Finally, it explores the importance of the viewing environment.
